Rita Walburn
Rita Jane Walburn, 85, of Sciotoville, OH passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016. Rita was born August 3, 1931 in Sciotoville, OH to the late Lindsay Goodman and Ada Mae (Maggard) Goodman. She married her beloved husband Oliver Mack Walburn, April 20, 1948. He preceded her in death in 1988. Rita is survived by her children Marsha (Walburn) Bauman, Ryan (Leia) Walburn and Rita Dianna (Walburn) Knore: grandchildren Emily (Jonathan) Cheek and Ashley (Justin) Harris and great grandchildren Leo Morris and Signy Morris; her sister Gayle (Joe) Edinger also survives her. Siblings preceded in death are Darlene Fetzer, George Goodman and Joann Lykins.
Rita retired from 30 years of bus driving service at the Wheelersburg School system where she loved her kids. She was a dedicated Wheelersburg Pirates and Cincinnati Reds fan. She enjoyed time with her family and keeping her home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Visitation services will be held from 6-8 pm Tuesday, August 16, 2016 and one hour before the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.
