Thelma Faye McGinnis
Wheelersburg-Thelma Faye McGinnis, 80 of Wheelersburg, passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016 at SOMC in Portsmouth. Ohio. Thelma was born Feb. 17, 1936 in South Webster, Ohio to the late Clifford and Winnie Massie Lane. Thelma graduated from South Webster High School and worked as a Fancy Stitcher at the former Williams Shoe Factory. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Kenneth McGinnis whom she married June 1, 1954 in New Boston, OH.
She is survived by a son Michael Glen McGinnis; a sister, Phyllis Jean Litz; four grandchildren Amanda (Aaron) Watters, Andy McGinnis, Eric (Teresa) McGinnis and Stacy (Dustin) Herbert and four great grandchildren, Noah, Aiden, Haiden and Ashton.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio, interment will follow in the McGinnis Family Cemetery in Carter County, KY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Thursday.
