Donna Mae Latimer Neal

Donna Mae Latimer Neal departed peacefully, surrounded by her children and family, Friday, January 13, 2017 in Portsmouth, Ohio. Donna was born August 25, 1930 in LaRue, Ohio to the late Floyd Cecil Latimer and Iva Olive Rodgers Latimer. She was preceded in death by her eldest brother, Richard “Dick” Latimer, her twin brother Donald Rae (Janet) Latimer and her sister and best friend Betty Lou Latimer Arena. Surviving are her children, Vicki (Leo) Glockner and Michael Neal, both of Portsmouth; her grandchildren, Kam (Brian) Miller, Casey (Ronni Beth) Sallee, Erin (Matt) Paxton, Chase Sallee, Kate (Kyle) Lemon and Blake Glockner and thirteen great-grandchildren, A.J., Ethan, Ashlynn, Myles, Layden, Liam, Dylan, Mia, McKenna, Addison, Brynlee, Delaney and Vivienne. She is also survived by her sister-in-law and dear friend, Rosemary Latimer, her brother-in-law Phil Arena and her loving nieces and nephews.

Donna treasured her time with her family, especially when she was telling stories and sharing memories. She was a member of Central Church of Christ. Throughout her life she was a hard worker, which included time as office manager for Amherst Painting in North Tonowanda, NY, a real estate agent in Long Island, NY, an aide and secretary for several years at Wilson and Grant Schools in Portsmouth, OH and manager of D&T Laundromat in Portsmouth, Ohio. She genuinely enjoyed being able to talk to all those she met and was eager to help anyone in need.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to Central Church of Christ, Portsmouth, Ohio. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com
