Shelby Jean Gregory
Wheelersburg-Shelby Jean Gregory, 80, of Wheelersburg, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at SOMC in Portsmouth, Ohio. Shelby was born October 22, 1936 in Sciotodale, Ohio to the late Clyde and Gladys Marie Armes Cartwright. She had been employed as an Activities Aide at Best Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wheelersburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Gregory, April 19, 1990, whom she married November 21, 1953 in New Boston, Ohio. Also she was preceded in death by two brothers Clyde Cartwright, Jr., Edward Cartwright and a sister, Helen Cartwright.
She is survived by two daughters, Valerie Jo (Danny) Johnson and Leigh Ann (Bobby) Holsinger; four grandchildren, Keri Ann Hamilton, Charlie Hamilton, Rob Holsinger and Ashley Harmon; eight great grandchildren, Chaz Hamilton, Tyler Hamilton, Wyatt Myers, Jay Holsinger, Drew Holsinger, Emma Holsinger, Clara Harmon and Daphene Harmon and a brother David Fisher.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Monday, January 30, 2017 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio with Chaplain Pete Michael officiating and interment in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00–6:00 pm Sunday, January 29, 2017 and one hour before the service on Monday. Online condolences may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
