Randall Keith Phipps
Portsmouth-Randall “Randy” Keith Phipps, 59, of Portsmouth, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at his residence. Randy was born August 16, 1957 in Portsmouth, OH to the late Toy Phipps and Hazel Byrd Phipps, who survives. Randy was raised by his grandparents, Paul James Byrd and Hazel Loree Byrd. Randy was an EMT-Firefighter with BP&W Fluor; also he was with Porter Twp. Fire & Rescue since 1979; Life Ambulance and had worked in the Parts Dept. at Glockners. He was also a member of the Steelworkers Local Union.
In addition to his father Toy Phipps, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Phipps. He is survived by his mother, Hazel Phipps; his wife, Sandy Gee Phipps, whom he married December 31, 1997 at Scioto Furnace; three sons, Keith (Robin) Phipps, Nathan Fannin, Jason Phipps; four daughters, Rebecca Phipps, Kym Fannin, Kelsey Fannin and Emily Elizabeth Phipps; and five grandchildren, Christian, Lillian, Joycelyn, Madison and Quinten.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Wheelersburg United Methodist Church with Pastor Merit Smith officiating with interment in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00-9:00 pm on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 and one hour before the service on Wednesday at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio.
