Mary “Mag”daline Thomas
Salem, Arkansas-Mary “Mag”daline Thomas, 93, formerly of Minford, Ohio passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at residence in Salem, Arkansas. Mary was born August 8, 1923 in Scioto County to the late George William Thomas and Nettie Caroline Evans Thomas. Mary was one of the longest surviving female dementia patients. She battled dementia for approximately 28 years. She was well taken care of at home by her nephew, David Thomas and his fiancée Cindy Parker and his two children Mariah and David Jr.
Mary holds several college degrees including two Masters, three Bachelor’s and one Associate. She was Supervisor of Psychology for the Ohio Penal System and a Rosey the Riveter during the war. Mary is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was the longest surviving Thomas in her family. She outlived her five brothers, Abner, Ray, James, Willy and Herbert and her three sisters, Dorothy, Phyllis and Nancy (Monk). Mary loved everyone and was loved by many.
