Cheryl Lynn Betts
Portsmouth-Cheryl Lynn Betts, 61, of Portsmouth, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 at SOMC in Portsmouth, Ohio. Cheryl was born August 5, 1955 to the late George and Evelyn Woodruff Frey. She had worked in food production at Pillsbury, was of the Pentecostal faith. She was active in the Portsmouth Eagles and Portsmouth Moose. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Samuel L. Malone and Charles E. Betts and a sister, Margaret Rutledge. She is survived by a son Samuel Malone; a daughter, Tina (Lee) Rideout; two brothers, William Doody and James Doody; two sisters, Georgia Hughes and Cathy Clair; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio with Pastor Fred Bell officiating with interment to follow in Horeb Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 and one hour before the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
