Bertha Louella Mae Perkins
Wheelersburg-Bertha Louella Mae Perkins, 73 of Wheelersburg, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio. Bertha was born in Pickaway County Ohio July 29, 1943 to the late Thomas Edward and Edna Mae Morris Tackett. Bertha had worked as a self-employed hair dresser and was a member of Cornerstone Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Tackett and Mary Crabtree; one brother, Thomas Tackett; a son, Todd Perkins; a grandson, Anthony Perkins and a granddaughter, Samantha Perkins. She is survived by her husband, Vernon Perkins whom she married August 15, 1960 in Lucasville, Ohio. Also surviving are three sons, David, Tony and Art Perkins; three brothers, Russell, Samueal and David Tackett; two sisters, Doris Crabtree and Kaye Kuhn; fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio with Pastors David Perkins and Art Perkins officiating and interment to follow in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, June 2, 2017 and one hour before the service on Saturday.
