Ouita Jaclyn Dearfield
Wheelersburg-Ouita Jaclyn Dearfield, 82, of Wheelersburg, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at SOMC in Portsmouth, Ohio. Ouita was born April 3, 1935 in Wheelersburg, Ohio to the late Bennie and Agusta Sherman Storey. She was retired as a cashier for Harts Department Store and she was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George Dearfield, February 24, 2012, whom she married May 15, 1953 in Lawrence County, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by nine sisters, Wilma Moran, Opal McWharter, Jewell Distel, Delores Gillum, Pearl Dean White, Jean Frazier, Lillian Cox, Brenda Byrd, Phyllis Johnson and two brothers, Austin and Buddy Storey. She is survived by a son, Tim (Melissa) Dearfield; two daughters, Joni Dearfield and Lori (Mike) Baker; two sisters, Alice Irwin and Carolyn Chessman; eight grandchildren, Brooke Baker, Joci Kail, Jason Thompson, Michelle Fox, Amy Dearfield, Michael Dearfield, Emily Dearfield and Matthew Dearfield and thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio with interment in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends 5:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, June 21, 2017 and one hour before the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Condolences may be made to the family at www.harrison-pyles.com
