Celebration of Life for Donald Thomas and Mary Ann Ketter Billups
There will be a Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio for Donald Thomas Billups, January 3, 1929 – September 11, 2012 and Mary Ann Ketter Billups, October 7, 1929 – December 24, 2016. Donald was born in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late David and Mabel Ratcliff Billups. Surviving are two brothers, Harold “Skip” Billups (Judy LeMaster) of Athens, Ohio and Gary Billups (Joyce Warner), of Wheelersburg, Ohio. Mary Ann was born in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Wells R. and Dorothy Peters Ketter. Surviving is a cousin Marie Wright Rogers of Indianapolis. Donald and Mary Ann both are graduates of Wheelersburg High School, 1947. They are members of Valley Mills Christian Church, married for 61 years living in Indianapolis the majority of time; New York and Alaska during time in the Air Force. Don was a licensed funeral director in Indiana retiring in 1994; member of W. Newton Masonic Lodge 50 plus years, member of Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, Decatur Business Association, Lions Club, Optimist Club and Indiana Funeral Directors Association 50 plus years. Prior services were held in Plainfield, IN, at the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Interment was at Porter Township Cemetery in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Condolences may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com
