Raymond Edward Sommer
Wheelersburg-Raymond Edward Sommer, 90, of Wheelersburg, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017 at Best Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wheelersburg. Raymond was born October 28, 1926 in New Boston, Ohio to the late George Raymond and Gertrude Helena Delabar Sommer. He was retired from the U. S. Postal Service as a rural mail carrier. He was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church and belonged to the Holy Name Society. Raymond is survived by a sister, Helen Stanley and two nephews, Mike Stanley and Greg Stanley.
Mass of Christian burial will be 12:00 pm Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Yokum officiating and interment following in St. Peter Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Monday, August 7, 2017, with recitation of the Rosary at 8:00 pm, at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio.
