Alberta M. Smith
Dayton Ohio-Alberta M. Smith, 90, of Dayton, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Lincoln Park Manor Nursing home in Dayton. Alberta was born January 15, 1927 in Wheelersburg, Ohio to the late Bird N. and Dovie Carroll Maddix. She was of the Protestant faith. In addition to her parents Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Smith, October 5, 2002, whom she married December 12, 1987. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Kay Larrick and a son Lyle Patrick McGinnis; four sisters, Maxine Preston, Lorena Ditmer, Rose Mary Tibbetts, and Norma Jean Granato; a brother, Lewis Maddix; a nephew, Mark Maddix; a niece Sue Bray, Sue’s husband Herman Bray survives. Also surviving is a sister, Wilma Faye Wells of Columbus, Ohio; three grandsons, Bobby Larrick, Ronnie Larrick and Mike Larrick and numerous nieces and nephews. She was at Walnut Creek Nursing Home for a BRIEF…BRIEF time! The family would like to thank Lincoln Park Manor Nursing Home and Hospice for the excellent care from the Administration and the Nurses and Nurses Aides for the exceptional care given to Alberta.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio with Pastor Perry Prosch officiating and interment to follow in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.
