Robert Carl Chamberlin
Wheelersburg-Robert Carl Chamberlin, 89, of Wheelersburg passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Sanctuary of Ohio Valley in Ironton, Ohio. Robert was born August 20, 1928 in Wheelersburg to the late Ora and Nina Leesburg Chamberlin. Robert was retired as a clerical employee from Cyclops formerly Detroit Steel in New Boston, Ohio; he attended Porter Freewill Baptist Church and he was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Childers Chamberlin, January 19, 2008. He was also preceded in death by seven brothers, William Chamberlin, Howard Chamberlin, Charles “Mutt” Chamberlin, Oliver “Odd” Chamberlin, Leonard Chamberlin, Rev. Forrest “Tary” Chamberlin and Ernest Chamberlin; three sisters, Hazel Williams, Louella “Lude” Miller and Bessie “Mayme” Acker. He is survived by a son, Brent (Angie) Chamberlin and a granddaughter, Lauren Chamberlin.
Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio with Pastor Mark Price officiating.
