Frank Edward Chaffin
Franklin Furnace-Frank Edward Chaffin, 93, of Franklin Furnace passed away at the home of his son, Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Frank was born April 21, 1924 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Forrest and Emma Thompson Chaffin. Frank was retired from Henry Oberling Chrysler/Ford as a Service Manager; attended Mabert Road Baptist Church and he was a World War II Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn Gloria Lewis Chaffin in January 1984, whom he married January 27, 1945; his second wife Garnett Jeanette Chaffin; infant twins, Keith & Kevin; infant Bruce Chaffin; a brother, Fredrick Chaffin and four sisters, Marcella Parker, Marie McCardle, Eileen Sargent and Ada Vastine Jones. He is survived by a son, Greg (Jennifer) Chaffin; a daughter, Janice (Roger) Fowler; two sisters, Joan Romero and Naomi McGraw; six grandchildren, Stephan, Jennifer, Amanda, Nicholas, Ashley and Andrew and seven great granddaughters, Kristen, Charley, Isabella, Aubree, Sophia, Adriana and Annabella.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Jim Benner officiating. Military graveside services and interment will follow in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, October 13, 2017 and one hour before the service on Saturday.
