Steven Lee Townsend
Wheelersburg-Steven Lee Townsend, 50, of Wheelersburg passed away Friday, October 13, 2017 at his residence. Steven was born November 6, 1966, in Ironton, Ohio to Gary Lee and Nancy Carol Glazier Townsend. Steven had worked as a firefighter in Upper Township for fifteen years and he was a member of Wheelersburg Baptist Church. Steven is survived by his wife, Kimberly Jo Osborne Townsend whom he married January 31, 2006 in Wheelersburg. Also surviving are two sons, Matt Steven Townsend and Andrew Caleb Evans; two daughters, Kayla Nicole Townsend and Ashley Calah Sheffield; two brothers, Rick Allen Townsend and Gregory Keith Townsend; seven grandchildren and two nieces and one nephew. The family extends a special thanks to SOMC Hospice for their care during Steven’s illness.
Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Wheelersburg Baptist Church with Pastor Brad Brandt officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.
