Harold Franklin “Bud” Hammonds
Franklin Furnace-Harold Franklin “Bud” Hammonds, 92, of Franklin Furnace, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at KDMC in Ashland, KY. Bud was born September 18, 1925 in Franklin Furnace, Ohio to the late Charlie and Sally Pierce Hammonds. He was a self-employed contractor and of the Baptist faith. Bud was a happy loving person who loved all his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He loved being outside and being busy and loved all his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Stevens and Roger Stevens; his twin brother, Arnold Hammonds and a brother Charles Hammonds and a sister, Mae Morris. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Esther Faye Stapleton Hammonds; two daughters, Linda Dyer and Helen (Raymond) Skaggs; a son Joe (Annie) Stevens; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio, with interment to follow in Haverhill Cemetery.
