Donald Glen Parsley, 60, of Wheelersburg, OH passed away on December 30th, 2017 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Don was a beloved father, papaw, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was born on April 23rd, 1957 in Louisa, KY to the late Leo and Mary Parsley. He was a former employee of Aristech/Sunoco Chemical Plant in Haverhill where he worked as a Chemical Operator for many years. Don was a devoted father of four children: Donnie “Amanda” Parsley, Tonya Sowards, Jennifer Parsley Browning and Nikki “Jeremy” Moore. He was also a very proud papaw to eight grandchildren: Tyler Sowards, Kiara Sowards, Tristan Browning, Caleb Browning, Carlee Moore, Conner Moore, Mailyn Parsley and Sadie Parsley and two great-grandchildren as well, Jaxon Hickman and Sora Sowards. He had four brothers and sisters: James “Pam” Parsley, Marcia Parsley, Allen “Ellen” Parsley and Peggy “Tim” Dials. Don had a dog he loved so much and was his best little buddy “Maddie”. Don was a good man with a big heart for his family and will be very missed by those who knew and loved him. The family would like to extend special thanks to the ICU at SOMC for their care. Services will be held at Harrison Pyles Funeral Home. The family will be accepting friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8pm. The funeral will be Thursday at 11am with visitation one hour prior. Reverend Chris Oiler will be officiating. Burial to follow in Memorial Burial Park.
