Phyllis June Spence
Wheelersburg-Phyllis June Spence, 90, of Wheelersburg, OH passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, OH. Phyllis was born June 15, 1927 in Scioto County to the late Zeke and Wilma Lee Jacobs Fraley. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hubert Spence, May 13, 2010, whom she married August 22, 1945 in Greenup, KY. Also preceding her in death are five sons, Randy, Paul, Donald, Roger and Robert Spence; a brother, Paul Fraley and two sisters. Faye Martin and Geraldine Fraley. Phyllis is survived by three sons, William (Hilda) Spence, James (Marsha) Spence and Fredrick (Cheryl) Spence; three daughters, Cynthia Spence, Patricia (David) Keeton and Dessie Maynard. Also surviving are many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Bryan White officiating and interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 pm Monday, January 8, 2018 and one hour before the service on Tuesday.
