Robert Leon Pyles
Wheelersburg-Robert Leon “Burger” Pyles, 86 of Wheelersburg passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 at Best Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wheelersburg. Robert was born November 4, 1931 in Wheelersburg to the late Raymond and Garnet Catherine Calhoun Pyles. He was a Wheelersburg High School graduate and he was retired from the former Empire Detroit Steel Corp. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War era. Robert was a member of Wheelersburg United Methodist Church; a 50 plus year member of Western Sun Masonic Lodge #91; he also belonged to the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati; El Hasa Shrine; Horse Traders and Confidence Degree and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Robert is survived by his wife, Marijo Wagner Pyles, whom he married September 10, 1959 in Greenup, KY. Also surviving are three sons, David (Connie) Pyles, Richard (Beverly) Pyles and Rex (Jenny) Pyles; five grandchildren, Julie, Ross, Jacob, Jonathan and Anna and two great grandchildren Trenton and Noah.
Funeral services will be noon Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Perry Prosch officiating and interment to follow in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00 pm Monday, January 15, 2018 and one hour before the service at noon on Tuesday.
