Maud Estlena “Lena” Ruth
Wheelersburg-Maud Estlena “Lena” Ruth, 81, of Wheelersburg, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Concord Nursing and Rehab in Wheelersburg. Lena was born July 18, 1936 in Kentucky to the late Jack and Faye Johnson Kelley. She had been employed in housekeeping at Best Care Nursing & Rehab and was a member of Mt. Hope Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Knappenburger; a brother, Evert Gene Kelley and two sisters, June Wilson and Fern Holsinger. Lena is survived by four sons, Robert Knappenburger, Jr., Barry (Gloria) Knappenburger, Dale (Bobbie) Knappenburger and Brent Ruth; three daughters, Patty (Robert) Smith, Nita (Mandy) Knappenburger and Michelle Ruth; fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, June 15, 2018 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Gary Shelby officiating. Interment will follow in Wheelersburg Cemetery.
