Pairlee Pennington
Wheelersburg-Pairlee Pennington, 83, of Wheelersburg, Ohio went on to be with Jesus on Monday, August 6, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Lester Ward and Mayzina Howard Ward of Salyersville, KY born on February 1, 1935. She is reunited in Heaven with her loving husband of 62 years, Rex Pennington, special grandparents, Newt and Pairlee Howard Ward, two sisters, eight brothers and other beloved family members. She was a wonderful wife, treasured mother and grandmother, loving daughter and generous friend and neighbor. For over 45 years, she was a faithful member of the Ohio Furnace Enterprise Baptist Church. She is survived by her three daughters; Daisy (Steve) Carter of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Phyllis Pennington of Portsmouth, Ohio and Bridget (Steve) Halley of South Charleston, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Robert Howe, Mekea (Ben) Browning, Rex (Aimee) Howe, Seth (Janice) Cummins, Jade Prather, Hannah Halley, Joshua Halley, Jacob Halley and Rachel Halley and three step grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Clovie Carr and Bulia (Gale) Castle and one brother, Newtie Ward, all of Marion, Ohio. Pairlee, affectionately known as “Tincy” by her family, will be greatly missed. Her character is reflected in the great love and kindness that she showed towards her family and friends. Her faith in God was strong and ever present. She leaves these qualities with those who love her.
Services will be 10:30 am Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Interment will follow in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday, August 10, 2018 and one hour before the service on Saturday.
