RICKEY MONROE WEEKS
SOUTH WEBSTER-Rick “P-Rick” Weeks, age 55, lost his battle to cancer Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at the SOMC Hospice Center.
Rick was born on August 27, 1965, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to the late John William Weeks and Phyllis Triplett Weeks.
Rick never met a stranger which created a large group of friends and adopted families. He loved to gather around bon fires picking guitars and telling stories which will be carried on in his remembrance.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Micky Weeks of Franklin Furnace; one son, Aaron (Rose) Weeks and their three daughters, which were the apples of Papaw’s eyes, Mariah, Aliah, and Ivannah, of Indiana; one daughter, Kimberly (Nate) Canada, and their fur baby, Aria. He is also survived by four brothers, Johnny Ray (Hope) Weeks, of West Union; Spencer K. (Kay) Weeks, of South Webster; John Matthew “Bam Bam” (Kalista) Weeks of Franklin Furnace; Walter Preston (Cindy) Weeks of Louisiana; two sisters, Deanna Shoemaker of Minford; and Annamarie Stiles of Sciotoville. In addition, he is survived by a special cousin, Linda Pashki, and so many more aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, his 2nd Moms and Dad, Ronnie and Gail Wagner, and Maggie Clem, and he was also known as Papaw to many of his great-nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give thanks to Kayla Culp, Rick’s Hospice nurse, and the entire wonderful staff of SOMC Hospice.
Services for Rickey will be 1:00 pm Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Mark McCallister officiating. Interment will be in South Webster Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service. Condolences may be made to the family at www.harrison-pyles.com.
