1975 - 2025
Robert “Leigh” Guilkey III Robert “Leigh” Guilkey went to be with the Lord on May 24, 2025. Born on April 28, 1975, in Portsmouth, Ohio, Leigh was the son of Carolyn “Susie” Hollis Guilkey of Portsmouth and the late Robert L. Guilkey II. He was a graduate of South Webster High School in 1993 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration from Shawnee State University in 2008. For 30 years, Leigh was a dedicated employee at United Parcel Service, where he worked as a Package Division Manager. His excellence in leadership was only surpassed by his care for his fellow man. Leigh would often volunteer at the Amen House in Georgetown, Kentucky and the Hope Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Outside of work, Leigh enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and boating on the river. But his greatest joy was spending time with Cassie, Ali, and Andrew and his greatest accomplishment was being “Pop Pop” to Crosley Jo and Andersyn.
Leigh is survived by the love of his life, Cassie; his daughter, Ali (Andrew) Turner; granddaughters Crosley Jo and Andersyn Turner; his mother, Susie Guilkey; sister Alexis Guilkey (Kevin) and brother Sam Hall and sister Lindsey (Miles) Cook; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, a niece and dear friends, many of whom Leigh treated like family.
A visitation and service will be held 1:00 pm with a service at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 1, at Faith Baptist Church in Wheelersburg, Ohio, with interment at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg with Rev. Dr. Scott Holley officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.

I will always remember Leigh for his big smile and the joy he carried around with him. Pride in his family but not without a boyish sense of amusement. He was a wonderful partner, leader, mentor, and most of all a dear friend. Leigh always sought to face each challenge with a positive outlook and encouraged people to find the lesson in the challenge. He will be missed but not forgotten and his impact will be felt for generations.

I’m so sorry to hear about Leigh. I’ve been his dental hygienist for many years and will most definitely miss seeing him! The last couple of times I saw him he mentioned God and so I can only imagine he’s in glory waiting for the rest of us to join him someday. Hoping and praying that his family can find peace and comfort. Again I’m so sorry!

So very sorry to hear of Leigh's passing. Not only did he and my late husband, Jim (Hack) Moore work at UPS for several years together, but we were neighbors. Thoughts and prayers for Cassie, Ali and those precious grandkids as well as other family members. Leigh was a leader in many aspects of his life, a good neighbor, but most of all a true friend. He will be sorely missed!!

I knew Leigh for many years at UPS. He was a great leader, a terrific mentor and most importantly a dear friend. He and I had many conversations about work and how to improve the operations or help further the careers of other people. He took immense pride in the performance and skills of his team all while taking a backseat to the accolades and giving all the credit to his team. As if his involvement and leadership had nothing to do with it.
The last several years though, I never saw him happier than when he spoke about his grandkids and how much he enjoyed spending time with them. I was so saddened to hear about this. My thoughts are with his family and friends who all now have a little less sunshine in their lives.

Hate to see this. Leigh was a funny, good guy. Although he was a year ahead of me, he would be everywhere, even in the wrong classes, at any given time. Truly a good man and funny guy. Condolences to his family and to his siblings.

It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of Leigh. He was not only a dedicated colleague, but also someone who brought integrity, hard work, and a strong spirit to every day on the job. Leigh will forever be remembered. I’ll miss you Leigh, and thank you for your friendship and all what you have done for me.
