Chet Apel, 85, of Sciotodale passed Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at SOMC Hospice Center surrounded by family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister, three children (Rhonda, Jeff and an infant son), a grandson and a brother-in-law (Bobby).
He is survived by his wife, Barb, Three children (Cheri, Dusty and Joe), a special granddaughter (Kayla) and a great granddaughter (Sydney), grandchildren, great grandchildren, a sister (Neadie) several family and in-laws and great neighbors and friends.
There will be a viewing at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home, 11623 Gallia Pike, Wheelersburg, OH, on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 5:00pm-8:00pm with a private Memorial Service to be arranged by the family at a later date.
