Linda Witten Riffe, 60, of Garrison, Ky., died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, in the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.
She was born Sept. 17, 1943, in Portsmouth, Ky., a daughter of the late Jack and Edna Holt Witten.
She was also preceded in death by one infant grandson, James Robert Riffe; and three brothers, Harry, Jackie and Shorty Witten.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include the father of the children for 37 years, Jim Riffe of Garrison; daughters, Sue (John) Wilson of Worthington, Ky., and Edna (Rick) Salvia and Ethel (Glen) Bolander, all of Garrison; sons, Jimmy (Tina) Riffe of Vanceburg, Ky., and Chuck (Kathy) Riffe, David (JoAnn) Riffe and George (Tessa) Riffe, all of Garrison; two brothers, Winford Witten of Lorain, Ohio, and twin Lynn Witten of Garrison; three sisters, Vernamae Hicks of Greenup, Ky., and Herma Lee Bisnyiczke and Francies Lambert, both of Garrison; grandchildren, Sis Strong and Christopher Wilson, Hank and Dawnnita Riffe, Curtis and Desirae Riffe, Shammah and Courtney Salvia, Stephanie and Anthony Corns, Christy, Kelli Riffe, David Jr., Dalton Riffe, Darwin Lee and Aaren Ray Hall, Tonya and Bobby Bolander, Drew and Madison Riffe and Kirk Evans; one great-grandchild, Charles Anthony Lee Corns; and a special friend and adopted child, Lizzy Egbert.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, at Garrison Funeral Chapel in Garrison with Brother Clarence Hall. Burial will be in Witten Cemetery in Garrison.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, 2004, and after 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, at the funeral home.
