Joyce Morris Gore 40 of Charleston, formerly of Huntington, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2006, at her home in Charleston. She is survived by her mother, Louanna Morris of Huntington; her loving and devoted husband, Larry Gore of Charleston, her three children; sons, Donte” Pennington, of South Point, Ohio, and Joshua Morris of Huntington, daughter Latisha Wynn, of Huntington. One step-daughter, Maria Gore, two step-grandsons, Derion Gore and David Ormsey, all of South Charleston, WV; one sister, Ruth Morris; nephew Brandon Thompson; niece, Shyra Thompson; great uncle and aunt, James and Pearl Byrd, all of Huntington; and a host of cousins spread abroad. She also has an extended family of in-laws and friends from the Charleston area, who have stood by her when she needed them the most. Joyce always maintained her enthusiasm for the adventure of life and has left behind precious and unforgettable memories. May the soldier, belonging to God, lay down her armor and rest in peace. Services will be 1:00PM Thursday at Callender Funeral Home, with Pastor Frederick Hightower, officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Friend may call one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
