On January 27, 1920 in the city of Notasulga, Alabama the late Dennison and Lillie York Hart announced the birth of their only child, Flora. It was in the city of Notasulga that she received her early education and religious training. She met and married the late Robert Hall and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. In 1944 the family moved to Huntington, West Virginia. While in Huntington she worked various jobs, and was retired from Marshall University after 26 years of faithful service.
On December 18, 2006 from Huntington Hospice House she was called to join her parents, husband and daughter Mae Francis Peterson in that place of rest prepared for us all.
We thank God for having given her to us as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend. It is our prayer that she will be long remembered and seen throughout our lives today. This legacy of love and devotion that we have received from her will sustain us now in our grief and will provide inspiration and courage as we continue our lives.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Daughter, Beverly Clements, Huntington, WV, son Wesley Hall, Cincinnati, OH, seven grandchildren; including a special grandson Richard Peterson, Angela Stradwick Ottiwu, Janet Matthews, Wilbert Shaver, Lenwood Shaver, Janel Hall, Carmille Hall. 12 Great grandchildren; Anthony Stradwick, Jr., Alisha Stradwick, Shatanya Matthews, Erica Miller, Chelsea Shaver, Cheyanne Shaver, Cheree Shaver, Lenese Shaver, Lenaye Shaver, Lenwood Shaver, Jr., Mycala Martin, Ayanna Martin. 5 Great-great grandchildren; Akia Stradwick, Jazyn Webb, Chase Webb, DeAndre Hewitt, DeShaun Hewitt and a host of other relatives and friends.
