Mr. Kay Fountain 97 of Jasper died at his home on December 26, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday December 29, 2011 at Forest Oaks Chapel with interment to follow at the Hancock Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 28, 2011 at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A native of San Augustine, TX, he resided in Jasper since 1941. Kay was a heavy equipment operator and worked offshore in the oilfield prior to retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and had been a commercial fisherman for many years. Survivors include sons Kenneth and wife Julie Fountain of Jasper, TX., Sammie and wife Lotti of Broaddus, TX. , Tommy and wife Teresa Fountian of Jasper, TX. and Joe and wife Melissa Fountain of Broaddus, TX. A sister Nettie Rayon of Livingston, TX. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph King Fountain and Melissa Jean Mitchell, a wife Aola "Skin" Fountain, daughter Grace Anne Fountain, three brother Sam, John and James Fountain,, two sisters Ardela Whitehead and Tempie Baulch.
