It's hard not to cry, but I'm not sure why I am ... maybe it's because I am so much like you. We met only once, and that was enough for me to understand why I am....

The kind words that were written about him truly touched me and I am glad that you got to know him the way I knew him. Shine on my cousin and play your music with your beloved brother. Being lifelong friends i am so grateful to have a treasure trove of memories. Everyone knows what a great musican you were but there is so much more to your characture that i would like to address. You were a kind and gentle man with a heart of gold. You had such a charismatic personality that people were naturally drawn to you. We shed a few tears along the way but mostly we found the humor in life and shared so many good times. No one but no one could make me laugh like you. Case in point: I always wanted a house on the lake. We live in a house with a private 9 acre lake. The levy broke and it's now a big old mud hole filled with weeds! You would give me that famous Jimmy Dee smile, with a twinkle in your eye and say "Cindy i think when you prayed for the lake house you shouls have been a little more specific". Then the two of us would double over in laughter. Thank you for leaving me with so many wonderful memories i will treasure until we meet again~Love always Cindy

Babe, I will also remember the good times and the holidays together. You and Sonny were very special to me. When I was young I use to sit next to you at the piano and you would play my song. When we meet again in heaven "I will walk with you along the avenue" Love Madeline

Jimmy, what can i say... I only knew you the last years of your life. And when you passed I heard all the stories about you and your brother, which made me relize..I never really knew you as good as I thought I did. But I didn't need to to love you all the same. The Jimmy I knew first was a voice on the phone, then a grandparents best friend from Florida. When you moved here, you gave me a dog I will always remeber. You helped me pick on my mom and play my own music. It was sad when you could no longer play the piano because of your arthritis, but now you and matt can play together. And the last time I saw you, you were bound to give me a plastic flower because i said they were pretty.. I geuss what i'm trying to say is i'm sorry your gone, but glad you have found peace, I love you and wish you well. Goodbye Jimmy, my grumpy, funny old friend. `Briann Danna

You were like a brother to me. I will miss you and think of your often. Matt has his place back, pulling rank on being your big brother. I will miss you kidding me and all the time we spent watching football & baseball games together. It's funny how we miss the little things that end up being our fondest memories. I miss the threes of us sitting aaround the kitchen table having our morning and evening coffee together. I would give almost anything to hear you play the piano one more time ----Milton Danna
