Jon Sorensen passed away on 06-19-2012 at his residence in Kirbyville, TX. A veiwing will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the chapel of Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory. Following the viewing Mr. Sorensen will be cremated at Forest Oaks Crematory. Survivors include his Mother Marge Sorensen of South Dakota, Wife Pat Sorensen of Kirbyville, TX, Sons Jon Sorensen Jr. and wife Kim of Leauge City, TX, Benjamin Sorensen of Houston, TX and Eric Ferguson and wife June of Crockett, TX. Daughters Cynthia and husband Bob Wingate of Arizona and Barbara and husband Mike Harmon of Beaumont, TX, Brother Bill Heinson of Tennessee, Sisters Maxine Bergh of Minnesota, Shirley Suedkamp of Colorado and Lori Jones of South Dakota. Along with 12 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Condolences can be posted at www.forestoaksofjasper.com.

Pat, we are so sorry about Jon's passing. We pray you are comforted by His Spirit and know you are loved. Bro. Lewis is out of town but we had prayer for you and your family on Wed. night. Gateway Tabernacle loves you and loved Jon. We are here for you at anytime. God bless you.

My sympathy to all of Jon's family. I was a childhood friend of Jon's and remember the times that we shared growing up in Flandreau SD. He was always ready to start a new adventure and really enjoyed being in bands. RIP
