Marietta H. "Rita" Melvin Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1942 - 2012 Marietta "Rita" H. Melvin 70 of Brookeland, TX. died at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Friday October 19, 2012. Private services were held at Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory in Jasper, TX. on October 23, 2012. A native of Sullivan, Maine she moved to Jasper county from Greenfield, Maine in 1978. She was employed in Jasper at the Doctor's Clinic of Jasper as a R.N. until retiring. Survivors include daughters Linda McMillian of Sam Rayburn, TX. and Kathy Ugarek of Greenfield, Maine. A sister Beverly Dubay of Bangor, Maine a granddaughter Jenna Bailey and a great granddaughter Hannah Grace Leach. Services under direction of Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory in Jasper, TX. My mother Susan Williams, her eldest surviving daughter, myself, my brother Zach Williams, and her other great-grandchild Michael Williams were somehow forgotten in this announcement. We will all greatly miss her and loved her dearly. Distance may have separated us, but we were always there in spirit. We love you, Nana.

I am so sorry to hear about Rita passing away. I have a lot of good memories of her and time spent together working at the Clinic and also away from work. She was such a giving caring person. I ask God to heal her family's broken hearts and to give you the peace only He can give.

I was so very sorry to hear of Rita's passing. I haven't seen her in a long time, but have a lot of fond memories of our times together at the clinic. My condolences to all of you.
