James Roscoe "Dusty" Rhodes 71 of Jasper died at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital on Thursday November 15, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday November 21, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with interment to follow at the West Oaks Cemetery in Jasper, TX. Visitation will be at Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Crematory in Jasper, TX. on Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A native of Tatum, TX. he was a Alaska resident for 17 years before returning to Texas and living in Longview then moving to Jasper in 2008. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, and was employed as a Pipefitter for the majority of his career until the past ten years he worked as a Inspector on numerous pipeline jobs. Survivors include his wife of 48 years Aline Rhodes of Jasper, TX. sons Darrell and wife Koren Rhodes, and Rodney J. Rhodes all of Jasper, TX. a daughter Stacie Lee Rhodes of Jasper, TX. a brother Lester Ray and wife Tootie Rhodes of Clover, VA. a sister Rebbecca "Aunt Becky" and husband John McColloch of Fort Worth, TX. and Grandchildren Colten, Dakota, Tommy, Haven, Bryce, Mariah, Nathan and Tyler.
