1931 - 2013

Patsy Williamson Hada Patsy Ruth Williamson Hada passed away at age 81, on February 7, 2013, at the Holmgreen Center in Corpus Christi surrounded by her family. Patsy was born on March 19, 1931 to Willie and Lucille Williamson in Port Arthur, Texas. She also resided in Portland, Port Aransas, and Roganville, Texas. She married the late John Logan Hada, Jr. on July 5th 1952. He was the center of her life and they had four children, Nancy, Robert, Holly and Jim. Patsy was kind, caring and had a generous and loving soul. She never judged and always had time to listen to you while gently giving you life's advice. In addition to her family Pasty had several dogs over the years, which she loved as well. Her great passion was snorkeling in Belize and was known for her extensive seashell and old bottle collection. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Johnny, in 1994; her daughter Holly in 1998; her parents, Willie and Lucille Williamson, siblings Billy and Jack Williamson; daughter-in-law Darlene, and a large entourage of mostly small and fluffy canines. Patsy is survived by her daughter Nancy Hada (Ronnie Bedre) of Aransas Pass; her grandchildren - Dr. Shelby Sutton Fetouh (Omar) of Dallas and newest great granddaughter Mya; Stacy Sutton (Matt Armstrong) currently of Austin; her son Robert Hada (Carolyn) of Flour Bluff and his children, Patsys grandchildren, Christi Taft (Nils) and their three boys, Patsys great grandchildren William, Alex, and Vincent; Chad Hada of Houston, her granddaughter, US Army Captain Maegan Hada of Ft. Hood, and grandson Jonathan Hada of Flour Bluff; Holly Hadas children; her granddaughter Chelsea Garcia and great grandchildren Holly and JP, and grandson, John Garcia of Corpus Christi; son James Hada (Katy) of Houston and their three children, her grandchildren, Anna, Cecelia, and Jack. She is also survived by her dear sister-in-law Nissa Hada of Flour Bluff; brother-in-law William Hada (Rosalva) of Houston; and daughter #2 Carol Stahlstrom of Portland. Patsy had a special place in her heart for the staff of the 5th Floor at the Holmgreen Center where she lived out the last year and a half of her life after a stroke left her unable to walk and her once ceaseless speech limited. She always had a smile, a laugh, and developed some great one-line zingers bingo! Though her body failed her, her mind did not. The family greatly appreciates Odyssey Hospice for their compassionate support in the last few days of Patsys life. There will be a gathering of family and friends and a celebration of Patsys life at the Friendship Cemetery in Roganville, Texas on Saturday March 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m.. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Road, Suite 200, Bethesda, Maryland 20814. Patsys granddaughter has Cystic Fibrosis. Stacy Sutton is now 30 years old and a physical therapist, runner, and big supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Condolences can be posted at www.forestoaksofjasper.com

Patsy Ruth Hada had an intoxicating yet radiant smile it was breathtaking and her laugh was priceless. Patsy had the kindest gentlest soul any one person could have. My daughter Allisa told me this week of the countless number of times she telephone Aunt Patsy and asked her for parenting advice. Allisa was quick to add that Patsy gave her the most loving and caring advice one person could give to another. In addition, Patsy never judge Allisa. Allisa had Patsy Ruth in her life for nineteen years and grew quit found of her; she called her Aunt Patsy and they forged a beautiful relationship. The Hada family has been a wonderful extended family for Allisa and Patrick. I thank you all. Patsy Ruth Hada you will be missed, as I explained to Allisa; Johnny has been waiting on Patsy for years. Nissa I pray you kissed Patsy Ruth for me, and I pray you let her know I loved her as well. Patsy Ruth Hada you will always have special place in my heart, with all my love Glenda Cason Chapman.
