Deepest sympathies ! The world is a little lesser place without Ed. I can not put into words his impact on me as an umpire . I try to take a little of his knowledge and wisdom on the field every day . Tomorrow when I work the plate on my game I will take a minute and. Say , ā€œ thanks Ed Miller !ā€

Ed was a good man and a real good sports official. I met Ed when I was Athletic Director at Huntington East High School then later at Cabell Midland high. He worked games for both schools. Rest in peace Ed.Ed will always be remembered for the work he did and how friendly he was. My deepest sympathy goes out to Ed's love ones. Ed will be missed.

Mr. Miller along with my Dad umpired many LL sports and he was definitely one of if not the best behind the plate. I have some old 8mm video of him parading us all-stars around in his old white pick-up. Good memories and a great family man. Iā€™m sorry to read this and sorry for the family.
