Jayson Allen Meenach

WHEELERSBURG-Jayson Meenach was born September 5, 1991 in Huntington, WV. Jayson was a college official for basketball, refereed High School basketball and was the youngest official to ever have a state game. He had four State games before he was 30. He was previously an employee for MMLK law firm in Greenup, KY and until recently owned a successful cleaning company in Myrtle Beach, SC. Jayson was preceded in death by Mamaw Pat, Papaw Greg, Aunt Rachael Hart Meenach, Riley Hart and Uncle Terry Richendollar. He is survived by his mother, Melanie Deerfield of Myrtle Beach, SC, his father, Chris Meenach of Wheelersburg, OH, his step-father, Richie Deerfield of Franklin Furnace, OH, two brothers, Jake Meenach of Myrtle Beach, SC and Joel Caniff of Columbus, OH, Papaw Chris Meenach of MI, Granny Jan Richendollar, Shay, Izz and Tazzy, Great Grandmother, Polly McGlone of Franklin Furnace, OH, Aunt Robbin and Bill of MI and Johna, Uncle Steve of New Boston, OH and Uncle Georg and Aunt Christi of Pedro. He also had five brothers of other mothers; Jeff Massie (Beavis) of Franklin Furnace, Randy Trevino of Sciotoville, Cameron Zornes of Wheelersburg, Zach Newton of Minnesota, and Travis Floy of Grayson. Also, Sis and Danielle of NC, Karen Bailey, Sandy Cherry, the Floyd Gang, Travis and Rhonda Richendollar, Emilee, Uncle Nick and Amy of Pedro, Uncle Denny and Kathy of Knightdale and several cousins, fellow team members, officials, and friends.

Services for Jayson will be 8:00 pm Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Trevor Carver officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, from 6:00 pm until the 8:00 pm service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home.
