Shirley Louise Horn Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1940 - 2023 Shirley Louise Horn WHEELERSBURG-Shirley Louise Horn, 83, of Wheelersburg, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Hillview Retirement Center in Portsmouth, OH. Shirley was born February 14, 1940 in Scioto County to the late Charles Samuel Parsons and Evelyn Burton Parsons. Shirley had been employed as a Ward Clerk at SOMC and she was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her siblings, Edwin Parsons, Bill Parsons, Clara Mae Parsons, Mary McLean, Sara Williams, Gertrude Schumway and Bonnie Staten. Shirley is survived by her husband, Richard Horn, whom she married December 10, 1966 in Portsmouth. Services for Shirley will be 1:00 pm Monday, October 9, 2023 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Chris Oiler officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.

I am wishing you and your family courage and peace during this time of mourning. I worked with Shirley in the 1980's at Mercy Hospital. She was an excellent co-worker and I remember when we converted to a computer system she embraced it with a positive, learning attitude and was able to share her skills of the system to teach others.
