William Marene McKendree IIWilliam Marene McKendree II, 75, of Barboursville, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. During his life he honorably served in the U.S. Army as a medic. He also owned and operated Dental Supplies & Equipment for 30 years. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, vacationing with family, and spending time with grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William McKendree and Velma Bledsoe, and brother Steve McKendree. He is survived by his wife Myrna Davis, son Brian McKendree (Kellye), daughters Christine Minor (Jeff), Stephanie Ferguson (Brandon), and Rebecca Guilliams (Mike); and eight grandchildren, Ethan Hicks, Zane Hughes, Evan and Ellie McKendree, Rachel and Kate Minor, Benjamin and Molly Guilliams; as well as his brothers Dwain McKendree, Rick Looney, and sister Robin Looney.

The family would like to acknowledge the staff at the Hospice House of Huntington for their care and compassion during a difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.

Friends and family will be received during the visitation on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at 1 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, officiated by Reverend Richie McNiel and Larry Balding. Graveside service will follow in Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

Bill was just a great guy. I am so glad I got to work for him and become his friend. I am sporting a pretty bad cold right now, so going out is not possible. I am sorry that you had to lose him, but I know the last few years have been difficult. Fly high, Bill.
