Clyde Bess Jr. Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1941 - 2024 Clyde “Boots” Bess Jr., 82, of Barboursville, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024. He was born March 22nd, 1941, in Branchland, W.Va., a son of the late Clyde and Carrie (née Madden) Bess. He is also preceded in death by his siblings: Marie McComas, Callie Bess, David Earl Bess, Doile Bess, and Clifton Bess; brother-in-law, Francis McComas; nephew, Bo McComas; and ex-wife, Joan Bess. He is survived by his children: Rick (Debbie) Bess, Vicki (Anthony) Lee, and Letha Perry (Ed Mooney); the mother of his children, Sandra Bess; nine grandchildren: Tori (Jared) Baldwin, Kati (Caleb) Webb, Jeni Lee, Maddie Bess, Hallie Bess, Eddie Mooney, Callie Perry, Brock Perry, and Braxton Perry; eight great-grandchildren; and one “Lucky” cat. Uncle Boot will be missed by his nieces: Bess Jeffrey, Rae Ritter, Rea (Steve) Pay; and nephew, Luke (Stephanie) Bess. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 29th, 2024, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Pastor Luke Bess officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Memorial Park in Milton. Friends may visit from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on Monday, January 29th, 2024, at Wallace Funeral Home in Barboursville.
