Dianne Ruth Bird, 81, of Huntington, WV, passed away January 31, 2024 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born August 22, 1942, in Huntington, a daughter of the late John Lee and Belva Burks Wentz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Bird and two sons, Michael Bird and Jeffrey Bird. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Anita Bird of Chesapeake, Oho; daughter-in-law, Darla Bird of Dunbar, WV; former daughter-in-law, Katrina Brown; sister, Rita Wentz “Squeak” Harlow of South Point, Ohio; two brothers, David Wentz of Georgia and Greg Wentz of Chesapeake, Ohio; grandchildren, David Bird, Michael Bird and Alycia Bird; step-grandchildren, Jason and Jamie Stapleton and Devan Farley (Morgan); and step-great-grandchild, Hunter Stapleton.
