Joyce Simpson, 89, of Barboursville, WV, passed away February 10, 2024. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by James Hunter. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. She was born December 11, 1934 in Leon, Ky, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Hall Hunter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris Simpson; brothers, James Hunter, Frank “Skeeter” Hunter; sister, Nancy Cartmill and niece, Gina Terry. She is survived by step daughters, Sarah (Brian) Tyre and LaDonna (Howard) Knapp; grandchildren, Sean, Hayley, Lainey, Kymberly, Stephanie and Christina; and one great grandson, C.J.; nieces and nephews, James Hunter, Randy Johnson, Richard Mont Hunter, Melody Hall, Brandi McKeating and Tiffani Pendleton.
