Daniel Eugene Spears Click for Condolences      Printable Version
1974 - 2024

Daniel Eugene Spears, 49, of Glenwood, WV, passed away at home from sudden cardiac arrest on February 21, 2024. This is a devastating loss to his family who loved and cherished him dearly. Daniel was a Christian, he was a follower of God. He worked all of his life and he was a hard worker. He was a friend to all who knew him and he had a kind heart. He was a 49er’s fan, he loved wrestling, he loved his family and he showed it everyday. I lost my best friend, he leaves behind his wife of 26 years, Crystal Spears; one daughter, who he was extremely proud of, Emily Paige Spears; his niece and nephew, Joshua and Samantha Call who he loved like his own; his father-in-law Johnny Call Sr., and our dog Molly; three brothers, Chris, Josh, and Dallas Spears. He is preceded in death by his mother, Debra Pelfrey; father, Ray Spears; one brother, Ray Spears II; mother-in-law, Peggy Call and brother-in-law, Johnny Call Jr.; and our bulldog, Charolette. Daniel leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. All who knew him, loved him. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is assisting the family with services, which are private. Daniel was a great man. I forgot to put in his obituary that he was a Navy veteran and served in the Gulf War. There is no words to express the loss of Daniel or tell you how great he was. He loved his family and we all knew it. He is sadly, sadly missed and my life will never be the same. I'm still in shock.

Daniel is my dad, and I never knew how much I leaned on him and needed him until now. I will always miss him, and he was a great man and I wish I could have told him more. I wish I could have just talked to him more, and spent more time with him. I love my dad and I will miss him for the rest of my life. I knew him all my life, and I’ll miss him the rest of my life. I love you dad. You were the best dad I could ever ever ask for, and I should have treated you better.
