Gregory Dale HatfieldGregory Dale Hatfield, 66, of Milton, passed away February 23, 2024. He was born December 14, 1957, in Milton, WV. The son of Patricia Ann Templeton Hatfield of Milton and the late Harold Lloyd Hatfield. Greg was a 1976 graduate of Milton High School. He was on the football team and a member of the National Honor Society. Greg attended Glenville State University where he played football. Greg was an entrepreneur and business owner. He volunteered in Milton Little League and coached many youth teams. He gave back to his community through countless charitable endeavors. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Harold Lloyd Hatfield, Sr., his grandparents, and his wife’s parents. In addition to his mother, Patricia, he is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Rhonda Marie Wiles Hatfield; their children, who meant the world to him: one daughter Carly Hatfield Taylor (Jeremy-who was like a son); one son Colton Hatfield; one brother Harold "Chuck" Hatfield Jr. (Candi); one sister Valerie Leggett (Jerry); grandchildren Tiana, Loren, Treven, Levi, Lennox, Remington, Riah, and Lancer; and one great-grandson Easton. Four brothers-in-law and their wives: Robert (Ann), Randy (Penny), Rod (Nancye), and Rick (Jennifer). Many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were more like sons, daughters, sisters and brothers to him. His many employees through the years who were like family, especially Josè and Roman, who he considered sons. Greg loved spending time with family on vacations, at the farm, in the mountains or just visiting at home. He loved his pups: Daisy, Bernie, Boomer and Kipp. He was an avid hunter, loved music, playing guitar and singing with his family. All were a big part of his life and heritage. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Graveside service will be at a later date.
