Joyce Johanna Jimison, 91 of Culloden, WV, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Pastor Charley Stevens and The Reverend Andy Bird. Burial will be in Bias Chapel Cemetery. She was born May 29, 1932 in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Charles William Woody and Gladys Lillian Edmunds Godby. She was a lifelong member of Union Baptist Church. She was a founding member of the James River Homemakers Club. Joyce was an avid seamstress and made many beautiful items for family and friends. Joyce’s cheerful devotion to the Lord spread joy to everyone around her. She will be missed by everyone she knew. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Franklin Jimison; two sons, Gregory Robert Jimison and Barton Alan Jimison; and her son-in-law, Martin A. Nash. She is survived by one daughter, Lorie Linann Nash; two daughters-in-law, Debbie Jimison and Donna Jimison; three grandchildren, Hunter Fitzwater, Amber Hanna, Matthew Hanna; five great-grandchildren; several cousins and many friends who were very dear to her.
