Ronald Shannon "Butch" Thompson Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1947 - 2024 Ronald Shannon "Butch" Thompson, 77, of Huntington, WV, passed away April 10, 2024 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. He was born February 23, 1947 in Huntington, a son of the late O’Dell Thompson and Helen Thompson Matheny. He was a Millwright for ACF Industries for 47 years. He enjoyed caring for all animals. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Fisher Thompson and brother Larry Thompson of Culloden. He is survived by his companion Betty Meadows; his beloved Missy, Sissy and Lydia; as well as very special friends, Okey and Brenda Baylous. Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. Saturday prior to the service. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

Butch was a great landlord who became a great friend. I will miss him stopping by and shooting the breeze,my dog Rocky will too. Butch always brought him treats. My sincere condolences.
