Wilford Eugene “Tubby” Harshbarger, 74, of Culloden, WV, passed away May 15, 2024. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. John Gue. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock. He was born June 29, 1949, in Huntington, a son of the late Bennett and Lucy Vaughn Harshbarger. He was a veteran on the U.S. Air Force, having served during the Vietnam War. He is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Ronnie McClure of Salt Rock; two brothers, Alfred Harshbarger of Culloden and Tommy Harshbarger of Concord, NC; stepbrother and sister-in-law, Bud and Dorothy “Dottie” Collins of Tennessee; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was one of the last racing pioneers in the Tri-State area and anyone that knew him, knew that racing was his life. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home.
