Edna Mae Holland, 92, of Lesage, WV, passed away May 22, 2024, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born February 12, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late Alfred E. Hill and Mary A. Hughes Hill. She was also preceded in death by her husband Vernon Holland and son Gary Holland. She retired from St. Mary’s School of Nursing and the Surgery Department. She is survived by two daughters JoAnne Holland of FL and Linda Hager of Springfield, OH; one son Brian Holland of Lesage; six grandchildren David Scott Cobb, Stephanie Dodson, Amanda Schumacher, Jessica Hager, Adam Holland, and Christian Holland; several great-grandchildren; two very special caregivers Nancy Beard and Raeshelle Nochols; three dogs Max, Blue and a very special Susie. Edna was also a cat lover, and leaves behind Pitiful Pearl and Blondie. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Steve Hinkle. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Visitation will be 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
