Allene Maynard Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1934 - 2024 Allene Maynard, 89, of Huntington, passed away May 24, 2024. She was born June 17, 1934, in Branchland, WV, daughter of the late Elson Lee Childers and Gertrude Cremeans Childers. She is preceded in death by her husband Wilbur Thomas Maynard, brother and sister-in-law, Guy and Pamela Childers, and sister-in-law Darlene Childers. She is survived by one brother Don Childers; a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Richard Maynard and Pastor Delbert Dixon. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

Allene was a sweet, wonderful person. I often think back of when I stayed with her and Wilbur. I am thankful for the time I spent with them.
