James Lester Edmonds, Sr., 80, of Barboursville, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024 at his residence. Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. He was born December 13, 1943 in Barboursville, a son of the late Clifford and May Cleo Bailey Edmonds. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Vietnam War from 1965 until 1968. He is survived by his wife, Carlie Parsons Edmonds; three daughters and son-in-law, Amy Short of Milton, Tammy and Dewayne Workman of Milton and Della Edmonds of Barboursville; two sons and daughters-in-law, James L. Jr. and Cindy Edmonds and Nathan Wayne and Tina Edmonds of Ona; sister, Linda Miller of Circleville, OH; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
