Georgia Mae Hafley at the age of 78 went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at her home. She was born on May 18, 1932 in Aromas, California to George and Amelia Bash. Georgia was a homemaker, Sunday School teacher and Girl Scout Leader for many years while raising 3 children. She managed the Littlefield Municipal Airport after the death of her husband in 1970. After that, she moved to Lubbock and installed avionics in aircraft for Avtech Aviation. In the 80's, she became involved in homehealth care and worked in that industry for 19 years, serving the Kerr County area residents for the last 9 of those years. She loved to read and study the Bible as well as attend her weekly Bible Study group. She was also an avid gardener and loved being outdoors beautifying her lawn and flower gardens. Most of all, she loved visiting and spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Lewis Douglas Hafley, parents George and Amelia Bash, sisters Betty Patterson and Margorie Howard, and 2 grandchildren - Justin Lewis Hafley and Amanda Kay Hafley.

Georgia is survived by son - Richard Douglas Hafley and girlfriend Liz Watson of Midland;

daughters - Cathie Hafley Carr and husband Stacey Carr of Littlefield, and Deborah Hafley Garrett of Kerrville; brother-in-law - Robert E. Hafley of Kerrville; grandchildren: Heather Hafley Abney and Husband Weldon, Tyson Don Carr and wife Alana, Marty Carr James and husband Tim, Kelly Garrett Harp and husband Clint, Johnna Leann Garrett, Colby Dwane Hafley, Shelby Lynn Hafley; great grandchildren Tyler Garrett Abney, Trevor Lane Abney, Stetson Lewis Abney,

Tyson Don Allen Carr, Piper Marie Carr, Kreek Ellis James, Kaegen Vircille James,

Hudson Kenneth Harp, Holland Amelia Harp; many nieces and nephews: Bobby Hafley, Ben and Beverly and children, Bill Hafley, Bill and Monda Hafley and children,

Jerry and Amy Hafley and children, J.J. and Mike Miles, Ricky and Cathy Hafley, Mr. and Mrs. Doak Hafley and children, Jodi Rasmusein, Christi and Ken Aiken and children, Connie Patterson and children; special close friends: Mark and Vera Lee LaPlante and kids, C.J. Memorial services will be held 2pm, Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Turtle Creek Community Church (130 Molina Dr) in Kerrville with Pastor Harp and James officiating the services.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Peterson Hospice in Kerrville.

The family would like to thank Peterson Hospice, Doctor Hagemeier and Doctor Barrington for all their care.
