Profession : LVN

Sandra Marie Richards took Jesus' hand as she entered eternal life in Heaven on December 7, 2010 at the age of 60. She was born on February 26, 1950 in San Antonio, TX to Cyrus Harold Ronan and Evelyn Marie Britz. Sandi attended the LVN nursing program at Schreiner College in 1981. She was a devoted and caring nurse who worked at several nursing homes in Bandera, Kerrville, and Comfort, TX throughout her nursing career. Her most memorable employment was at Heart of the Hills Home Health in Bandera, TX. Sandi was an angel of a mother and grandmother. She raised two caring, loving, and wonderful sons who she loved with all her heart. She always brought out the best in Brian and Chris. Her grandson Matthew, who is 4 years old, was her whole world. She taught him about her flowers and birds. They would sit on the porch swing and bird watch, sometimes seeing butterflies. Sandi loved the outdoors, flowers, and bird watching. Her travels included: Colorado, Mississippi, Montana, Wyoming, Las Vegas, Nevada, New Mexico, Louisiana, Utah, Oklahoma, Arizona, and the cruise she took with Brian to Cozumel, MX and Jamaica for Mother's Day in 2006. Sandi enjoyed the Texas Coastal region around Port Aransas. Her hobbies included: cooking, baking, reading, and spending most of time with family. Sandi's favorite holiday was Christmas; this was a time that she could not wait to gather with family and friends. She was a loving and caring companion to Buddie. They shared many of good times together and she would not have changed it for anything. Sandi was the best mother-n-law and was so supportive, caring, and loving to me. She took me in and treated me like a daughter, and it was an honor to be her daughter-n-law. We shared fun and sad times together and she was always someone that I could lean on. Sandi, I love you and miss you very much, and someday we will all be reunited in Heaven. She was preceded in death by her step brother Allen Hillebrandt, adopted father Albert Hillebrandt and his wife Irene, and by her biological father Cyrus Ronan.

Sandi who will be greatly missed is survived by her two sons the joy of her life, Brian Henry Richards of Boerne, TX, and Chris Lynn Richards and wife Susie of Bandera, TX: the youngest light of her life, grandson, Matthew; mother Evelyn Marie Clement of Johnson City, TX; Aunt Rosalie Ronan of Rockport, TX, and longtime friend and companion, Buddie Richards of Tarpley, TX. Sandi's smile and great personality will be missed and remembered by many other family and friends. The family would like to send a sincere thanks too Emma Garcia for the wonderful and caring support to the family and being a best friend to Sandi; to Vista Care Hospice Bonnie Bennet, Bonnie Andrews, Georgia, Betty, Trey, Allie, and Christina; and to Bandera Rehabilitation Care Center in Bandera all shifts.

Memorial services will be held 2pm, Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Hampton Inn (2038 Sidney Baker) in Kerrville with Chaplain Mc Anelly officiating the services.
